Please note our extended U.S. and Canada tables covering the injection season are included in the attachment. We overwrite weekly estimates with monthly releases as monthly EIA data becomes available. EIA reported a -51 bcf withdrawal for the week ending December 4 (Bloomberg median -45 bcf, Bloomberg whisper: -44 bcf). The 23 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from -59 bcf to -23 bcf with a standard deviation of 6 bcf. Our model showed -46 bcf. Nationwide natural gas-weighted heatin.....

Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended December 02. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline and heating oil. Non-commercials increased net length in Brent , but decreased in natural gas, heating oil, gasoline and WTI during the reference week. Baker Hughes shows 1,919 active rigs as of December 05, 2014, higher by +3 from the previous week. Oil rigs increased by +3 to 1,575 (ht: -4; vt-dir: +7) while the total number of gas-directed rigs remained unchanged at 344 (ht: +1; vt-dir: -1). Horizontal oil rigs decreased by -4 to 198 in the Eagle Ford (TX) and vertical/directional oil rigs decreased by -1 to 178 in the Permian (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs increased by +2 to 19 in Haynesville (TX).

This week’s EIA NG Storage Report was inadvertently published using the CFTC template. This update corrects the title. There are no other changes. EIA reported a -22 bcf withdrawal for the week ending November 28 (Bloomberg median -39 bcf, Bloomberg whisper: -159 bcf). The 24 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from -58 bcf to -23 bcf with a standard deviation of 10 bcf. Our model showed -31 bcf. EIA reported a -162 bcf withdrawal for the week ending November 21 (Bloomberg median -150 bcf, Bloomberg whisper: -159 bcf). The 22 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from -162 bcf to -124 bcf with a standard deviation of 11 bcf. Our model showed -157 bcf. Nationwide natural gas-weighted heating degree days reported by NOAA increased by +82 to 214 HDDs, while electricity-weighted cooling degree days remained flat at 1 CDD . Baker Hughes shows 1,916 active rigs as of November 26, 2014, lower by -13 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -2 to 1,572 (ht: +7; vt-dir: -9) while gas-directed rigs decreased by -11 to 344 (ht: -9; vt-dir: -2). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +3 to 167 in the Bakken (ND) and vertical/directional oil rigs decreased by -3 to 179 in the Permian (TX). Gas-directed horizontal rigs decreased by -2 to 7 in Fayetteville (AR).

Oil rigs decreased by -4 to 1,574 (vt-dir: -4) while gas-directed rigs increased by +5 to 355 (ht: +3; vt-dir: +2). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +4 to 202 in the Eagle Ford (TX) and by +6 to 137 in Anadarko (OK) whereas decreased by -3 to 164 in the Bakken (ND).
