We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in gasoil , but decreased in Brent, gasoline, natural gas, heating oil and WTI during the reference week. In case you missed it… Our new rig report has been expanded to cover Canadian oil and gas rig data. New regional allocations for Canadian rigs are based on drilling licenses and operator’s geological targets. US: Baker Hughes shows 941 active rigs as of June 23, 2017, higher by +8 from the previous week. Oil rigs increased by +11 to 758 (ht: +12; vt-dir: -1), and gas-directed rigs decreased by -3 to 183 (ht: -2; vt-dir: -1). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +6 in Anadarko (OK), by +2 in Bakke.....

The EIA reported a +61 bcf injection for the week ending June 15. The number was +5 bcf above the +56 bcf mark our flow model had anticipated on Tuesday and +6 bcf above the Bloomberg median. The region that deviated the most from the model’s estimate was the Midwest, where injections were stronger than anticipated. Please find attached data and charts detailing U.S. gas imports and power demand for the week ended June 15, 2017. Total net imports for the reference week averaged -0.55 bcf/d, higher by +0.21 bcf/d week-on-week. During the same week last year, U.S. net imports averaged 2.19 bcf/d. Average natural gas demand in the power sector was 28.6 bcf/d, higher by +3.0 bcf/d week-over-week. During the reference week, the contiguous US observed 74 population weighted CDDs, up 28 week over week.

The EIA reported a +78 bcf injection for the week ending June 8. The number was +9 bcf below the +87 bcf mark our flow model had anticipated on Tuesday and +10 bcf below the Bloomberg median. The two regions where our flow model was off were the Midwest and South Central – both regions injected 5 bcf less than our model had predicted. These two regions have occasionally proven difficult for our flow model to predict due to the lack of reporting from intrastate systems in those regions. Takin.....

Average natural gas demand in the power sector was 25.6 bcf/d, higher by +2.4 bcf/d week-over-week. During the reference week, the contiguous US observed 46 population weighted CDDs, up 5 week over week.
