Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended June 06. We provide all Legacy and Disaggregated trader positions for natural gas, WTI , Brent, gasoline, heating oil and gasoil. Non-commercials increased net length in gasoline and WTI , but decreased in Brent, natural gas, gasoil and heating oil during the reference week. Non-commercials net length in natural gas declined by -70.0k to +380.3k in futures and fell by -68.6k.....

US: Baker Hughes shows 926 active rigs as of June 09, 2017, higher by +11 from the previous week. Oil rigs increased by +8 to 741 (ht: +1; vt-dir: +7), and gas-directed rigs increased by +3 to 185 (ht: +8; vt-dir: -5). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +4 in Anadarko (OK), by +3 in Permian (NM), by +1 in Permian (TX) and by +1 in Anadarko (TX), while declining by -2 in Eagle Ford (TX), by -1 in Monterey (CA) and by -5 in Other areas not associated with a specific play. Please find attached data and charts detailing U.S. gas imports and power demand for the week ended June 1, 2017. Total net imports for the reference week averaged -0.45 bcf/d, higher by +0.29 bcf/d week-on-week. During the same week last year, U.S. net imports averaged 1.52 bcf/d. Average natural gas demand in the power sector was 23.4 bcf/d, lower by -0.3 bcf/d week-over-week. During the reference week, the contiguous US observed 40 population weighted CDDs, up 6 week over week.

Oil rigs increased by +11 to 733 (ht: +7; vt-dir: +4), and gas-directed rigs decreased by -3 to 182 (ht: -2; vt-dir: -1). Horizontal oil rigs increased by +2 in Anadarko (OK), by +1 in Eagle Ford (TX), by +1 in Bakken (ND) and by +4 in Other, while declining by -1 in Permian (NM). Horizontal gas rigs decreased by -2 in Marcellus ( NEPA ) and by -1 in Eagle Ford (TX), while increasing by +1 in Other.

The EIA reported a +81 bcf injection for the week ending May 25, the number included a reclassification of 4 Bcf of working gas to base gas in the Mountain region, implying the total injection to working gas stocks was actually +85 bcf. The reported number was +8 bcf above what our flow model had anticipated on Tuesday and +4 bcf above the Bloomberg median. The largest difference regionally, excluding the reclassification, was observed in the South Central with injections coming in +8 bcf abov.....

Total net imports for the reference week averaged -0.53 bcf/d, higher by +0.09 bcf/d week-on-week. During the same week last year, U.S. net imports averaged 1.55 bcf/d. Average natural gas demand in the power sector was 23.9 bcf/d, lower by 0.9 bcf/d week-over-week. During the reference week, the contiguous US observed 34 population weighted CDDs, down 3 week over week.
