Please find attached data and charts detailing the latest CFTC Commitments of Traders Report for the week ended June 18, 2013. We focus on net length of non-commercial traders as well as net length of money managers and swap dealers as indicated in the disaggregated data for WTI , natural gas, gasoline, and heating oil. Baker Hughes shows 1,754 active rigs as of June 21, 2013, lower by -12 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -8 to 1,405 (ht: -8; vt-dir: unchanged) while gas-directed rigs fell by -4 to 349 (ht: +1; vt-dir: -5). Horizontal oil rigs fell by -2 in the Permian (TX) to 108. Gas-directed horizontal rigs decreased by -2 to 19 in the Granite Wash (TX), but increased by +3 to 19 in the Marcellus ( NEPA ).

EIA reported a +91 bcf injection for the week ending June 14 (Bloomberg median +89 bcf, Bloomberg Whisper +87). The 29 estimates submitted to Bloomberg varied from +85 bcf to +95 bcf with a standard deviation of 2 bcf. Our model showed +86 bcf. Nationwide HDDs decreased to 8, down by -7 week on week. Baker Hughes shows 1,766 active rigs as of June 14, 2013, higher by +6 from the previous week. Oil rigs increased by +7 to 1,413 (ht: +3; vt-dir: +4) while gas-directed rigs fell by -1 to 353 (ht: -5; vt-dir: +4). Horizontal oil rigs rose by +3 in the Permian (TX) to 110 and by +2 to 162 in the Bakken (ND). Gas-directed horizontal rigs decreased by -4 to 19 in the Eagle Ford (TX).

Baker Hughes shows 1,760 active rigs as of June 7, 2013, lower by -4 from the previous week. Oil rigs decreased by -4 to 1,406 (ht: -2; vt-dir: -2) while gas-directed rigs were unchanged at 354 (ht: +1; vt-dir: -1). Horizontal oil rigs fell by -5 in the Anadarko (OK) to 102, but increased by +2 to 160 in the Bakken (ND). Gas-directed horizontal rigs decreased by -5 to 23 in the Eagle Ford (TX) but increased by +4 to 20 and 7 in both Texas and Ohio, respectively, in areas not yet identified with .....

EIA reported a +111 bcf injection for the week ending May 31 (Bloomberg median +100 bcf, Bloomberg Whisper +102).
